Her work was seen in numerous print advertisements and commercials. When she was 19, she quit the university in order to pursue acting. Her appearances were in quite a few films and shorts in series. After starring in the television series Stranger Things and The Originals she made a breakthrough by playing Sarah Cameron in the series Outer Banks.
