In the year following, the most well-known artists began collaborating with reggaeton acts. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to produce MIA (2018), while Madonna was a part of Medellin along with Maluma (2019). Certain reggaeton performers lamented the trend towards mainstream music in the year 2020. But a new group, Rauw Alejandro, wanted to continue the growth and evolution of reggaeton.
